    Hi Nikkie,

    The General test can be given anytime. However , subject test is scheduled only thrice a year. The Computer based GRE General Exam is administered year-round. To take it, you will have to schedule an appointment (at least 2 business days in advance if registering through phone and at least 3 weeks before if registering through mail ) at a nearby test center.

    The subject test is offered thrice a year in October,November and April.

    GRE 2011 are still not available but yes you can take a fair idea from last years dates. These were:
    2009-10 GRE Subject Test Dates : 10 Oct 2009, 7 November 2009, 10 April 2010 .

    I am in my final year….When will it be apt for me to take up gre??i mean in which month??

    Hello,

    Though the General GRE test is a mandatory requirement for almost all the post graduate (MS/PhD) while considering the US universities.

    However, taking the subject test/s is not mandatory and the requirement is university specific. While some universities recommend the same, some make it a mandatory requirement.

    In simple words, these requirements vary from university to university and you will have to check out with the university, department to be more specific, whether the GRE subject test is required for the considered program or not.

    he Dipika, saw ur response..its quite good. Glad to know more about GRE as am looking do my masters in abroad, am in 3rd yr Biotech engineering, want to take up GRE for higher studies in abroad.Pls tell me how to prepare for it,where i get application form,any coaching centres available in Bangalore,Karnataka. Pls help me with this so that i can get prepare well for exams…awaiting for ur reply

    hello mam,
    i have finished my b.tech in 2010 in ece and rt nw placed and dng job in telecom sector i want 2 pursue ms wen shud i gv it's exam and i will do the job for one year only till nov 2011….after dat i takr gre coaching…..is it rt for me or nt

    i did Bsc in Computer science of 3yrs degree, can i take GRE exam???
    some one told it need 16years education to attend this exam,.,.,.
