Graduate Record Examination is one of the most sought after exams
among students who aspire to study abroad. Every year thousands
of students take this test to get admission in American colleges.
They take this test to get maximum benefits they can get during
the admission season in US universities. According to the U.S.
Bureau of Labor Statistics, individuals who have this credential
stand to earn more than $12,000 more per year than they would
with a bachelor's degree, while qualifying for new job
opportunities.
In order to receive these benefits, many graduate students will be required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), which is the standard assessment to get into graduate school. However, individuals who plan to take this computer-based exam after August 1 will take a new version of the assessment, according to the Educational Testing Service (ETS), the organization that administers the test.
The ETS officials informed that the new version of the test will be easier to use and student friendly. It will give access to students to get back to previous questions and even to skip questions. It will also allow revising their answer within the section. In the new format the students can use on-screen calculator to make calculations on faster mode.
The GRE will also evaluate how students would respond to a particular situation or scenario they would encounter in their school or at their workplace by asking more real and relevant questions in the verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning section.
