Want a quick, useful way of studying?
Use Flashcards:
Flashcards are a great, speedy way to memorize things.
All you need to do is write a question or something on one side, and an explanation on the other side. Then jumble the cards up, and draw them out at random. Look only at the front… Do you know the answer, or what this word means? Then flip to the back. If you got it right, put the card down, and if not insert it back to the end of the pile.
When you’re done, start over and test yourself until you know everything.
Flashcards are great!
You can do so much with them:
Use them for vocabulary practice. Write a word on one side and the definition on the other.
Use them for formula memorization. Write the name of the formula (make up names!) on the front, and the formula itself on the back. See if you memorize them!
General practice. Print out SAT/GMAT/GRE questions on the front with answers on the back for quick and simple test prep!
Why are they so great?
They’re really cheap and simple to make.
You can use them everywhere! At home, during lunch at work, on the bus, everywhere.
Proved to be useful in practice, especially for memorizing new vocabulary and definitions!
» How do I get these flashcards?
While you can probably buy some, it’s much nicer to make them yourself.
Buy cards or small notes (or cut up some hard paper) until you have lots of them ready. Then just write out a question or word on one side, and the answer or the definition on the other. You can also do this with a friend, so that everyone benefits from questions without looking at the answers ahead of time.
You can choose to categorize the flashcards in different ways- types of questions, level of difficulty, or just by those you already remember and those you don’t. Find out whichever way works best for you.
Anyone who has written the GMAT, SAT, or GRE highly recommends using Flashcards durning your study time. You’ll be surprised how much you memorize simply by writing the cards. Test preppers have been know to make up to 300 or more flashcards!

I like making my own cards, because that way I can word things just the way I like. The problem is my handwriting is sometimes hard to read, but they're still ok.
Generally, you can buy recipe cards, and make them yourselves, customizing the content to maximize learning specific subjects. If you have a standard piece of white paper, you can also cut it into 4 or 8 equal pieces, and use them in the same way that one would use Recipe or flash cards.
There are also companies that make pre-made flash cards on specific subjects. You can also find them online, though I find that they do not have the same benefits. Here is a site that provides the opportunity to make your own, as well as review other's flash cards on Various Subjects.
