So,folks here are the correct answers

Analogy Question
The correct answer is D.
Both checkers and chess are board games, but the moves and strategies in chess are more complex. Both hearts and bridge are card games, with the latter being the more complex.
Problem Solving
The correct answer is A.
Since there are 11 terms in the initial series, median will be the 6th term of the series. (Of course the series must be either in the ascending or descending order of magnitude)
Now if we add the number 14 to this series, assuming that the series is in ascending order of magnitude, the 6th term now will be 14 and the 7th term will be 15.
Since there are 12 terms now, median is the average of the 6th and the 7th terms.
So,median of the resulting series= (14+15)/2=14.5
Hence, option A.

Median for odd number= (N+1)/2 th term. For even it is average of (N/2th and N+1)/2 th term The median of 11 distinct positive integers is 15. That means numbers are arrnaged in the below format

X-X-X-X-X-15-X-X-X-X-X If the number 14 is added to these then it would fall in the left half of the group something like X-X-X-X-X-14-15-X-X-X-X-X (understand significance of the words-distinct positive integers) Now total number=12 median will be average of 6th and 7nth number would be average of 14 and 15 which is 14.5 So Ans is B. 14.5

to play checkers, you can use a chess board, to play hearts, you can use bridge cards??

quantitative: Can’t really be determined. What if there’s several 15s in the sequence? 14 could fall anywwhere in the sequence, right?
