Quantitative Comparision confusion (Discussion)

I recently came across this question while taking up a practice test

0 < x < 10

y = x + (1/x)

Col A Col B

y 100

1. A greater 2. B greater 3. Same 4. Cannot say

Whats the answer that u would choose and y

I gave the answer as B. It looks pretty straight forward isnt it? But the computer says the answer is D. This one really got me thinking. Can someone explain if i am wrong

    I gues i ve got the solution myself. If we plugin a value for x say x = 0.0001 then y goes way beyond 100 hence we cannot determine the solution for this problem
