Hi bharani44. I was also planning to give gre by March but till now i am not ready,I have completed barrons word list but maths is not ok.would u pls suggest me that is barrons word list is enough for cracking Gre.

How many practice test have u taken till now?

Folks, You will have sufficient time to apply to the universities and also stand a chance for Scholarship if you can finish GRE at least 8 months prior to the application deadline. So try to finish your GRE by April.

  University of Texas, Austin is a great school for Computer Science. You should aim for a score above 1350. However, GRE score is not a sole factor in deciding your admission. Besides GRE score, there are other factors like SOP,recommendations,GPA that are considered while evaluating your application.

  Don’t worry. It will not be too late but you have to speed up your university research, SOPs and LORs in order to meet the application deadline. There are students who take it even in July. So don’t worry about this and concentrate on your preparation

  Hi
  
  This is the apt time to start preparing for GRE if you wish to apply for Fall 2010. Some good universities have deadlines as early as 15 December and some have in Feb too. I would recommend you to give GRE by October so that you get ample time to prepare with the application material like SOP, LORs, transcripts and none of the deadline is missed.   Most of the top universities have deadlines in November/December. Few good universities have deadline in January too. You should plan to give GRE by October so that you get ample time to apply to universities.

  Yes, ofcourse you can get admission into a good university . You need to work hard to get a good GRE score. Also, make sure that you carefully draft your SOP and meet the application deadline.   The application deadline varies from university to university. Some universities have deadlines in July and few may have in October too. You will need to check this with the university you wish to apply to.

im planning to register for gre general test and i see there is a late registration fee of 25 $... but i have no idea about when it becomes late for registering and when i should register without paying that fine… i wish to take gre asap so i request an immediate reply.

  If you are opting for Computer Based General Test then you do not have to pay late registration fees. It is applicable for subject tests and paper based tests.
