The prerequisite for admission to Pharm.D course include 90 credit hrs of BS and PCAT exam. The B.S. of pharmacy degree is no longer offered in the U.S. However, some pharmacy schools may allow you to apply into Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy) after you graduate from high school and are referred as “0-6” programs wherein students who successfully complete the first 2-years of pre-professional study (and any other stated contingencies) are guaranteed admission into the 4-year professional pharmacy degree program.

Though you will not be to meet Dec 15 deadline of some Ivy leagues like University of California at Berkeley,Carnegie Mellon, Cornell University etc but there is no harm at all in writing exam on 8th Dec. There are some other good universities like SUNY, Syracuse, NCSU etc that have application deadline in Jan-Feb. After giving your exam, make sure to speed up with your application packet so that you can meet Jan deadline.
When i browse the site of universities .They wont specify explicitly which all specializations they provide for a particular domain say computer science.Should i look at which all research areas they provide for specialization while choosing the specialization in that particular university?.This is befuddling me since many days.

Hey , do you have any compiled list of “Grescores – the colleges we can apply for” for computer science domain ? Like 1300 – “Sunny -Buffalo,Gerogia-tech ” . Such sort of list …

After doing R&D, I could find some universities where you could apply with 1300 score: University of Southern California, SUNY, North Carolina State University, Drexel University, San Diego State University, Syracuse University, Texas A&M University, New York University, Boston University.
Ronith, I hope you are already aware of the fact that GRE score is not a sole criteria that decides admission into a graduate school.
yeah , i know ,academics , work-experience , patents and publications , loc blah blah … other thing matters in getting admitted to a particular university. Thanks for the consolidated list, it would have taken ages to compile this list. :).
I took gre today i got very less score :( 1110 (q740 + v370) is it possible for me to apply with these score for any fair university(computer science domain) or shall i retake the gre ?
You can apply to Drexel University,Pace university. If you are confident that your score will improve then you may retake the test.
yeah , actually i was getting >1300 for mock test that i have taken prior to gre.Due to some time messup( i got 3 comprehension reading sections) , i couldnt answer the verbal part properly.
By the way , how are those universities drexel, pace .How abt placement oppurtunities there, since we invest huge amount (>15lakhs) for doing ms, it must be worth it doing there .Any idea about this ?

Since you were getting a decent score in mock tests, I would recommend you to give the test again.
Hello. I have got my GRE as 710-Q and 330-V, AWA-awaiting TOEFL-result waiting. I have done Metallugical Engineering with 63%. 10th 86%. 12th 78%. Want to go for fall-2009 I want to do MS in Industrial Management course. Can u suggest me few things regarding my application with score?
Can i get some good universities with these scores and acads in the reqd field? Or should I give my GRE again? If i will give again, then how much would it affect my overall profile? Will it be giving any bad impression if am writing y exam again? As in how many universities take average GRE scores?

hi deepa.. 1st of all thanks.. u have been doing great job.. i wanna ask that i have planned ma gre on 21st jan.. is there any decent university which i can apply for, the one which has good placement?? and i have listened that sometimes we can apply without appearing in gre and upload our scores later?? can dat be done to fall in deadline??
You can get a list of good graduate schools here .You need to check the website of the university to find out whether it permits you to upload gre scores later. While most of the universities do not allow you to apply without GRE score, few may permit.
Hi Deepa, Hatts off on ur dedication. I am doing Masters in Chemical engineering, and wants to persue research or Ph.D from abrode. Really I tell you I have no idea about GRE and other entrance exams. Can you suggest me when should I register for GRE test?(suggest considering time for preparation). Hello Deepa. My name is Bharatesh Regoudar. I am from Bijapur Karnataka.I completed my Information science and engineering course(same as BE computer science). My BE aggregate is 65.25%, 12th is 75.76% and 10th is 84.82%. I have around 8 national level technical fest participation certificates among which 3 are winner certificates (one in IIT madras 1st place,3rd in NIT warangal, and 2nd place in one of karnataka college) and additionally I was placed in satyam computers during campus drive held in our college and I am having offer letter. But…......... As you know market is in the hell, so they are not going to call us. so I decided to go for MS to USA.I am still not taken GRE. So which college you prefer in US for MS in computer science and are those national level certificates will help us? and is it necessary to write GRE to get visa. Please Reply. Thanks and Regards
hello deepa this is nathan from tamilnadu and im doing my final year mechanical engineering now and i will be having a of cgpa -8.2 at the end of my college. and i have 90.5% in 12th and 91% in 10 th standard. and about my extracurricular activity im in cultural and ncc . and about co curricular activities i had presented a single paper in a intra college paper contest(in our college itself) and got prize. and i will be completing 2 projects at the end of my college (may-2009) . i want to apply for M.S in mechanical engineering in 2010 fall.so i will also be having 1 year experience in a automobile company where i got placed. so plz tell me which is the best time for me to take GRE test and what else i can improve (abt my profile). what range of score would u recommend me to set as target to get admission in some good and economical(public schools) university with scholorship. plz reply me. i missed a thing . already i had planned to take my test at end of feburary(2009). plz tell me is that ok ,if not when can i take it??

If you are looking for MS in the USA, almost all the universities look for GRE and TOEFL scores. In case of Ph.D admissions also these test scores will suffice. But some of the top Universities require GRE-Subject Test for admission into their Ph.D course.

Hi I have completed my Undergrad in 2001, in ECE with an aggregate of 80%. I was working in IT for about 5.5 years. Recently I decided I will return to my roots (that of ECE) and so will take up MS. So I gave my GRE and got a score of 1350 (Q710 and V640). Also I am currently residing in Ohio(as a dependent). Will I get into some decent college like Ohio State Univ. with this (pathetic) score? Please advice what colleges can I apply for, taking into consideration my good acads, “Ok types” GRE score, Industry experience of aroung 5.5 years(Although this does not have anything to do with Electrical, which I am planning to apply), and a very good SOP ).
